From B&Bs to breweries, restaurants to retreats and bars to boat charters, this series follows Brits across Europe as they embark on their new adventures.

As well as South West France, Andalusia and the Costa Blanca, this year we meet the Brits trying to make a living on the glamorous French Riviera.

We follow their ups and downs as they make the move, renovate their properties, welcome their first guests and deal with a whole array of problems from bureaucratic hold ups, power cuts and tricky customers.

As they give up everything to follow their dreams, will  the flourish or will they fail?

A New Life in the Sun charts the journey of Brits following their dreams to start new adventures abroad.

These expats are proving that, despite a changing relationship with Europe there are still plenty of people ready to give it a go.

They’re throwing everything into running B&Bs and restaurants in France, dive schools in the Balearics, and cookery schools and cycling retreats in Spain.

And we are with them every step of the way as they make the bold move, renovate their properties, welcome their first customers and deal with freak storms, blistering heatwaves, power cuts and tricky customers.

Despite the chaos caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, hundreds of Brits continue to pursue their dreams of a new life and we are with them through the highs and the lows.

 

The sixth series of this obs-doc series follows a new band of  brave Brits as they launch anything from B&Bs and breweries to glamp sites and golf courses across France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
