mscatchard@truenorth.tvMatt joined True North in 2012 as a camera assistant. After spending time on location across the UK and Europe, Matt graduated to kit room manager, where he ensures True North’s filming teams have all the kit they need for shoots.
Alongside this he liaises with broadcast equipment suppliers as well as maintaining camera’s and filming gear.
What’s your role at True North?
I run True North’s internal camera kit room.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Training people who are just starting out in the industry and supporting crews on location.
What shows are you particularly proud of that you have worked on at True North and elsewhere and why?
Homes by the Sea for CH4 was the highlight for me, beautiful locations, meeting fascinating people and travelling the country with an amazing team!
What show would you most like to make if you could make anything in the world?
Anything that involved going behind the scenes on a Star Wars production.
