When did you join True North?

October 2022

What do you do at True North?

I am the Chief Creative Officer, working with the Creative Directors and Director of Development to develop and deliver shows.

What’s your ambition for True North?

Quite simply, that we continue to grow our slate of high quality returning series, proudly made in Yorkshire but for a global audience; and that we nurture the next generation of production talent to develop and thrive in their careers.

What’s the favourite bit of your job?

I love seeing a production team pull together to overcome hurdles and solve problems, particularly in a first series when everyone’s working out the best way to achieve a programme that only exists in the imagination at that point.  And I will always get a kick out of seeing our programmes going out on the telly…no matter how many times you’ve viewed a programme through production, when they go out on the actual TV in your living room it’s always a thrill.

Anything you feel really strongly about in the industry?

That we all remember to have fun along the way and enjoy it.
