Every September 650,000 children are dropped off for their very first day in reception at schools across the UK. This special documentary follows one class of children to find out what the first week of starting school is really like.

We meet parents, children and teachers at home and in the weeks and mornings leading up to their first week at school. By the end of the first week, they may feel they have grown up more than they have in the whole previous year.
