Piero heads the team producing the “A New Life in the Sun” franchise, which include the main series and the revisits “Where are they now?”, as well as Help! We Bought a Village.  In his role he oversees the production of a high volume of European content and the work of a dedicated team of editors and edit producers, who turn it into exciting and addictive telly.

Having started his career as a researcher on Channel 4’s Eurotrash and produced and directed in the UK and around the world for many years for Channel 4, BBC and ITV, Piero’s job is to ensure that our overseas operations continue to run smoothly.

When did you join True North?

I joined TN in 2015 to film the pilot episode of ‘A New Life in the Sun’

What shows are you particularly proud of that you have worked on at True North and elsewhere?

I have loved bringing the best stories from the Continent to the British TV screens from my beginnings on Channel 4’s Eurotrash, to various single documentaries for Channel 4, ITV and the BBC, to “A New Life in the Sun”.

Anything that stands out about your career?

Being offered a driving lesson by Sir Stirling Moss on the account that I looked a bit like one of his Maserati mechanics.
