Managing a team of Production Executives, Production Managers and Coordinators, every single one of True North’s productions is ultimately overseen by Carol.
Carol’s remit includes budgeting and staffing across all projects, training, and talent development as well as liaising with broadcasters and trade bodies.
Carol’s role also covers True North’s post production and resources where she works closely with Andrew Lurcuck to maximize growth.
With nearly 30 years experience across programme departments at ITV prior to joining True North, there is no genre of programming that Carol hasn’t worked on. Carol’s determination to make programme makers’ plans into reality means she is the heart and soul of True North.
Here’s a quick chat with Carol:
When did you join True North?
Anything that stands out about your career?
It has changed so much over the years (decades) and part of the attraction of the role has been working out how to adapt and meet the many challenges thrown at me.
If you could work on any show what would it be and why?
I always wanted to be the PM on Michael Palin’s travel shows and travel round the world. In younger days fancied being a Blue Peter presenter. Nowadays it would be anything that meant I could be outdoors in the countryside.
