Wynter is coming! True North announces new MTV Commission

True North has announced a brand new MTV commission with observational reality format, Million Dollar Baby.

The show will follow reality TV star, Lateysha Grace, as she sets out on a mission to earn her daughter, Wynter Grace Charles £1 million.

Lateysha first burst on to our TV screens on reality shows such as True North’s The Valleys and later on Big Brother. But since having baby Wynter, her life is no longer all about ‘me, me, me’.

True North, will produce the 8 x 60-minute series, which is set to air across MTV’s network of 62 international channels and digital platforms from May 2018.

Born into a low-income, single-parent household, Lateysh is now a promising entrepreneur. With almost 1 million social media followers, a children’s clothing label and countless brand partnerships under her belt, Lateysha is determined to make a mini-mogul out of her daughter and she has set herself a target of making the now two-year-old Wynter a millionaire by the time she is five years old.

“At two years old Wynter is already a star in our eyes and she makes a great double act with her mum Lateysha. This series will give viewers a revealing insight into Lateysha’s life as a ‘momager’, striving to provide a better life for her child. We look forward to finding out if Wynter will become the first official Million Dollar Baby.” – said Craig Orr, VP, Commissioning and Development, MTV International.

The show has been co-commissioned for MTV International and MTV UK by Orr and Kerry Taylor, EVP, Youth and Music, Viacom International Media Networks, MTV UKNEE and is Executive Produced by True North’s Head of Factual Entertainment and Reality, Fiona O’Sullivan.

Tune in to Million Dollar Baby on Wednesday 9th May at 8pm to see if her dream can become a reality. Watch out world, Wynter is coming!
