True North collected a hat-trick of awards at last night’s Prolific North Awards in Manchester.

Judges voted True North Best Indie while The Lie Detective – a format developed by the company for Channel 4 – secured top spot in the Broadcasting – Entertainment category for what the panel called “a highly original piece of programming.”

The hat-trick of Big Ns came in the Broadcasting Programme – News & Factual category where groundbreaking live documentary Breaking The Silence: Live impressed judges with its “exemplary example of effective cross platform delivery.”

Jess Fowle, Creative Director, said: “What an amazing night – it’s been an incredibly busy and productive year for True North and we’re so proud of all the talented people who make True North such a great place to work and make TV.”

The Prolific North Awards celebrate the best talent from across the North’s creative industries sector including digital agencies, production companies, app developers, PR agencies and animation companies.

Now in its fifth year, the Prolific North Awards are the largest event of it’s type outside London and last night’s ceremony at Manchester’s Event City was attended by more than 800 people.
