True North Rise Continues
6th September
True North is the sixth-biggest English indie outside of London, according to a new survey of Britain’s top production companies, published by leading industry publication, Televisual.
The “Production 100” list reveals that True North is now the tenth-biggest out-of-London indie in the whole of the UK.
With over 250 hours of programmes broadcast last year, the poll cements True North’s position as one of the busiest factual production companies in the country, despite the fragile nature of the British economy. The company’s big successes in the past twelve months include To Build Or Not To Build, Food Fighters, Animal 24:7 and Stealing Shakespeare (all BBC), PC Sharon Beshenivsky: Death On Duty (ITV), Britain’s Underworld (National Geographic), The Cumbrian Murders: The Untold Story (Discovery) and Killer In The Family (Crime & Investigation).
The next twelve months promises to be even busier, as work is already under way on nine separate series for the BBC, National Geographic, Discovery and UKTV.
