True North’s delighted that two members of its team have been selected for this year’s Ones To Watch talent scheme at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.
Story Producer Hayley Raper and DV Director Jarek Rozenfeld are among just 30 successful candidates from across the UK chosen for the prestigious scheme after a tough application process and series of interviews.
Hayley’s recent credits include A New Life In The Sun for Channel Four and The Pets Factor for CBBC while Jarek’s CV has been bolstered by projects such as The Lie Detective for Channel Four and more recently on A New Life In The Sun, where he was shooting on location in France.
Hayley and Jarek will participate in a series of exclusive workshops and masterclasses at the TV Festival in August, led in previous years by industry executives and creatives including Jay Hunt, Charlotte Moore, Vince Gilligan and Vinay Patel.
In addition, they will be showcased to over 2000 delegates at the TV Festival, and will receive 12 months of mentoring.
Campbell Glennie, Director, Talent Schemes, Edinburgh International TV Festival, said: “The final 30 were selected based not only on their drive and enthusiasm, but also on their portfolio to date and their potential to go far in the TV industry.”
Andrew Sheldon, True North’s Creative Director, added: “It’s great news that two of our team have been selected as Ones To Watch for this year’s festival.
“It’s testament to the talent that exists as a whole across the North of England and we’re proud to have nurtured both Hayley and Jarek over the last couple of years.”
Ones to Watch, founded in 1994, is aimed at those who already have three or more years’ experience in TV and are looking to make the next big step in their career.
