True North has been commissioned by HGTV to make a brand new series following some of Britain’s bravest Brits as they rescue and renovate unloved, unkempt and derelict homes in Europe.

Presenter and property developer Scarlette Douglas is at the helm of My Dream Derelict Home in the Sun – meeting Brits who are risking relationships, their savings and sometimes their sanity as they breathe new life into wrecks in some of the most beautiful parts of France and Spain.

Building on the success of True North’s hit for HGTV – My Dream Derelict Home – this new 16 x 60 series takes our passion for transforming old homes to a new level.

Each episode follows one couple or family who are right at the start of their project. Whether it’s a dilapidated cave in Andalucia, or a neglected farmhouse in the Dordogne countryside.

My Dream Derelict Home in the Sun has it all – warmth and joy, aspiration, determination, stunning sunny locations and incredible transformations. We just have to sit back and dream….
