Development Executive

Since Jo joined True North in 2010 she has worked both in development and in production across the features, formats, factual and reality slate.

Before relocating north she had a fifteen-year freelance career spanning roles at Endemol, RDF, Maverick, BBC Entertainment and Celador, series producing a broad range of hit shows such as How To Look Good Naked and Fame Academy and long running series such as Wife Swap and Changing Rooms.

At True North she has worked closely with Fiona O’Sullivan on the launch of MTV formats The Valleys and Beauty School Cop Outs and co-exec’d a number of series including C5’s Hens Behaving Badly and UKTV’s What the Neighbours Did.

In her role as Development Executive she works across the entire True North slate developing a raft of formats for all the major broadcasters, hunting down new on-screen talent, securing exclusive access and building strong relationships with a range of commissioning editors.
