In this brand new series, Dick and Dom have got their hands on exclusive back stage passes for some of the UK’s busiest vets, wildlife hospitals and animal sanctuaries.
But their victims – sorry volunteers – aren’t all animal lovers!
Will they change their minds by the end of a day looking after wounded wildlife and poorly pets?
Each episode features two new pairs of volunteers at different locations – Dick working with one team and Dom with the other. Across the series Dick and Dom take their teams to locations from Oban in Scotland to Sidmouth in Devon.
The teams get mucky, stinky, wet and smelly as they rise to the challenge of helping animals in need. There are plenty of laughs along the way but some sad stories too as Dick and Dom’s helpers find out the harsh reality for some of Britain’s most neglected and needy creatures.
Across the series Dick and Dom’s volunteers tackle an astonishing range of animal ailments from a deer with a broken leg to a ferret with a stinky bottom. They also jump straight in the deep end assisting with important wildlife conservation work including tagging endangered shark, releasing protected gulls and returning an injured seal back to the wild.
But the boys don’t just stand back and let their teams do all the hard work. Instead they’re rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in too – with a series of funny challenges and informative sketches about little known animal facts.
